NY day two: gramercy tavern

Our first Michelin Star experience!

Gramercy Tavern
42 E 20th St, New York, NY 10003, USA

Looks icky? But the cold vegetable soup with fried oysters was really tasty!

Calamari Salad

Pork Croquette

Salmon (I am sure there was some funkier name)

Desserts!!!

Mango Lime Cheesecake

Chocolate Pecan Tart

Chocolate Zucchini Cake - though we couldn't taste any zucchini at all (which isn't necessarily a bad thing).

Home made peanut butter semifreddo with chocolate macaroon

Their desserts are really awesome. Better than their main course in fact.

Pet noticed this particular picture on the wall of a tree which, she pointed out, looks like the map of Singapore.

The cool thing was that right after she took the photo, one of the waiters came up to give her a postcard of the picture! Talk about good service in a Michelin star restaurant.

Even their restrooms are so cute! hahaha...

That's my new blouse from H&M by Matthew Williamson. I brought so much coldwear in vain because the weather was so hot. So I had to buy lots of blouses in NY (and I am not complaining! heehee...)

Then we went walk walk and saw the Parsons school for design. I think this is the one where they filmed Project Runway. Is that right?

The night scene of Times Square!

Right where the ball drops every 1st Jan. Cheap thrill.

Then back to the hotel to sleep. -yawn- Walking in NY is a really tiring experience because the roads are so uneven! And the weather was so bloody hot. If only we went one week before. I heard the weather was really good then! Drats...
