i wonder...

given busy schedules, if people still read this blog. I randomly met a friend on the bus this evening - no zhu you are not random, the meeting was random, but a pleasure nonetheless :) and I realised that many of us end really late on most evenings and we hardly have time to do anything else.

I also realised that I have been posting about the fun I have in and out of work! I am not mocking those who stay till the wee hours just doing endless research kk? I just want to make you guys happier when you take time out to read my blog!!! :) I mean, sure we all have our own fair share of complaints and grumblings about the shitload of work we have, but we must always remember 3 short points (yes I know you have no time to read):

1. Count your blessings

Ooh you have TONS OF WORK TO DO. But guess what? Someone will always have more work than you. And be glad you have work to do! Some people cannot even find a job. So you think drafting contracts or taking a whole day researching on one tiny point is tough? Wait till you try collecting refuse or clearing the sewage. I think you will appreciate staring at silly clauses or the white book and counting your blessings (money).

Of course, it is always good to complain and get everything out of your chest. It can be therapeutic and that's what friends are for really. But don't forget, while you have problems, your friends have their own set of problems too. So when you meet them for meals (see point 2 below), please don't just talk about yourself. It can be pretty irritating. Slap me if I do. Thanks.

2. Family and Friends

Time is of the essence. Lunch, dinner and the occasional drinks are the only times you have out of office. So what should you do? GET OUT OF OFFICE!!! Meet different friends every day for lunch to catch up with them and get your life back on track. Update yourself on the latest gossip and news while munching away so that you don't shrivel and die alone on your table. And honestly, when you have work piled up and you are damn stressed, taking an hour off to meet your friends for dinner can really help make you feel better and prepare yourself to take on more work.

Don't forget about your family too! Catch up on the latest gossip about the family quarrel as well. Given that you are non-existent at home, you probably will not be a direct party to the quarrel so your family members will ask you to mediate. It will probably be too taxing for you to do so (please don't tell your family that your hours are billable/non-billable) but at least attempt to grunt out some opinions before you crash on your bed so that your mother will not complain to your aunty that you are unfillial.

3. God

Don't forget that He is always with you. No matter how tired and sick of work you are, always remember that He is always there cheering you on. For one minute every day at work, just close your eyes and pray. Don't just grumble to Him. Thank Him for the work and ask Him for the strength you need to complete your work efficiently and properly. It works. :)

And I have available slots for lunch/dinner/drinks so if you need someone to complain to or if you just miss me so much that you will die if you don't see me anytime soon, please feel free to sms me and tell me how much you miss me. I love you guys too so do take care ya?

guess who's back?

UA 803

looking sexy in his armani...

Man we look so shagged!!! And many have commented that we look more and more alike. IS THAT TRUE??? not the double chin, no? :p

excess baggage...

I really like tcc's rose infused coffee. I tried the iced one - Rose Juliet as well as the hot one - Perfect Match and I love both of them!

Back at work

lilly lee's new hair! :)
I quote jinsheng: "girl pretty, any hairstyle also pretty" :p

I have translation work to do over the weekend. :( And more euro 08 to watch. The only gripe I have against working right now is the deprivation of the luxury of watching euro in the wee hours of the morning. :( I would love to comment on the matches, but I seriously think I am not up to it because I haven't been following them closely. But so far, I am pretty impressed with Holland and Germany (taryn, I just thought of you!!! :D:D:D). Italy, unfortunately, isn't playing too well. I miss Maldini, Nesta, Cannavaro, Totti and Inzaghi. Where are you sexy beasts??? :(

Oh well... At least I love my firm and colleagues (esp my roomies). And at least my personal sexy beast is back. :)

happy fathers' day!

To my amazing father who never complains about fetching me around, waiting for me to be done, and buying me everything I want. I love you so much! :)

And of course, to the Heavenly Father who created me, and gives me everything in the world that He knows I need. Thank You for guiding me and always being there for me. :)
