The person inside is alive. That was pretty scary..
Kelvin Tong, the director, together with his male leads.
There were tons of artistes there at the gala to support local production. But the only one I was vaguely interested in taking photos with was the cute Qi Yuwu! :)
Synopsis:
Sergeant Lee (Shawn Yue) is injured in a shoot-out and assigned to the dubious Miscellaneous Affairs Department. His new boss, Inspector Wong (Ekin Cheng) explains that department's role is to answer supernatural calls and help the police force erase all traces of supernatural sightings. Rule number one: there are no ghosts. For every seemingly-inexplicable event, there is a corresponding scientific and rational explanation. MAD begins investigating a string of bizarre teenage suicides, which threatens to defy rule #1.
Fiona Xie acts as Shawn Yue's girlfriend/wife, who happens to be a school teacher where the teenage suicides occur.
My take: T-shirt pulling and arm-grabbing worthy, with an interesting ending. However, the acting was mediocre and there wasn't much character development simply because there were enough scary and freaky things happening all the time so you don't really care about the characters. Overall, easy to follow but just damn scary. I didn't know it was a horror movie until I reached the cinema!!! Rarr... I hate being freaked out!!!
Thanks Tanat for the gala tickets and although we didn't get to take photos with the three leads, I hope you enjoyed yourself when I pulled your tshirt sleeve to pieces. :p
