Poster courtesy of LesMils.com

Combat 35 is the latest bodycombat routine launched in Singapore this week! I love it!!! :):):) This is the track for the capoeira part of the routine. It's not the official MV though. If you are interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnijBpjPE2M

eduardo

freaking broke his leg. Oh my God it's damn gross. His entire lower leg bone got broken into half. Like a twig. Oh man... Ok I love Man U and can't wait for Arsenal to lose, but still... this is damn gross. It's so disgusting that even the television won't air this again. So watch it while you can.

Just so you know, at the 29th second mark, that funny thing sticking out from the sock is his bone. And his feet are still in his boot.

He is 25 years old. I don't think he can ever play football again. God bless you, Eduardo.

singapore open

My favourites Vijay and Scott didn't win.. :( I was following Vijay Singh, Adam Scott and Anthony Park, hoping that one of them would overtake Cabrera. Pity they didn't. Anyway, photos!

the cute Adam Scott deep in thought//walking with his caddy//after his birdie at the 16th hole//his final putt

Vijay Singh!

A pretty stream along the 16th hole.

the leader board.

Cabrera's win.

Sadly, I didn't manage to get autographs or photos taken with the golfers. The guards were so grumpy and looked ridiculous in black surrounding the golfers. Anyway, it was amazing exercise walking the entire course.

In poo news, I received purple roses from tris! :)

Thank you poo! :) -muah-

man u players

FINALLY!!! We have broken the curse of the 1-0!!! And my dearest Ronaldo is now the top scorer in Man U!!! Yippee!!!! 4-0!!! Muahahahahahaha......

Since I am on the topic of Man U, I shall attempt to come up with my own list of my top 5 Man Utd players this season. I am not going to be as good as my dear friend, the melman (also a huge Man Utd fan), who has a blog all about football, but here you go! Guys please forgive me.. Hahaha..

Wendy's Top 5 Man Utd players this season:

#5: Chris Eagles
© Man Utd
I have only seen him play twice this season. But so far, he has been playing quite decently. Nothing much to complain about. Hopefully, Fergie gives him more chances to play so I can see him more. Ok I confess. He is here because he is cute and you really do wanna look out for him. I like his hair!

#4: Tomasz Kuszczak
© Man Utd
Man Utd's number 2 goalkeeper. He has been playing the past few games because Van der Sar is injured. He is quite good and has not conceded a single goal this season. However, he is not as confident as Van der Sar. Whenever he saves a ball, he will usually hit it away before trying to catch it, instead of being confident enough to catch the ball while it is flying towards him. Nevertheless, he is worth watching and with more training, I am sure he will gain more confidence.

#3: Nemanja Vidic
© Man Utd
Superbly defensive. Siao on. Everytime he sees the ball, he will fight to reach the ball and kick it as far away from his goal as he can. Often sustains head injuries while winning headers (especially since he really pushes everyone else away so he can get to the ball). He is the kind of defender every coach wants. Will die to get the ball kind.

#2: Ryan Giggs
© Man Utd
One of the longest serving Man U players still around. He is a mature leader, steady in his passes, and always looks out for his players whenever those little kids try to argue with the referee. Not to mention, dark and brooding, especially with the sexy sideburns and beard. Did you know that when he was 14, Fergie made a personal visit to his house to invite him to join Man Utd? Excellent foresight, Sir Alex Ferguson.

#1: Cristiano Ronaldo
© Man Utd
Needless to say, he is watchable every single season. Brilliant footwork, as if dancing around the defenders; agile as he is young (my age!!!); highly entertaining as he often dives in the penalty box; cute when he cries to the referee like a little boy; sexy as he is Portuguese. *swoons* Must watch, and must drool. :)

But of course, in every team, no matter how much you love the team, there are bound to be players you absolutely abhor. Those you think they don't deserve the money they earn, or those who are so fugly they should wear a mask wherever they go:

My hated Man U player #2: Wayne Rooney

Enough said. Fugly grumpy bulldog with rashes. The only reason why I would want him to stay is for him to pass balls to Ronaldo so Ronaldo can score. Ok fine, he scored one goal today. So?? Big fat hairy deal.. Just like him.. Ugh..

My hated Man U player #1: Carlos Tevez
YUCKKKKKKKKK..... PUKEEEEEEE... I cannot stand him.. He cannot score!! Ok he scored today, but still... He doesn't know how to complement Ronaldo and Rooney. So what if he is supposedly a wonderful player from Argentina? He is totally not lethal at all.. Yuck, we should sell him. And he looks like a horse. See??

Oh my gosh I just found a damn wrong photo of Rooney and Ronaldo. Disgusting.

Nevertheless, I STILL LOVE MANCHESTER UNITED!!! Go Man Utd!! Win the title this season!! Hahaha.. :D

Anyway, thank you cx for the advice! It is quite troublesome, but if it can get me out of trouble, I don't mind! Thanks babe! :)

farewell

Tris' farewell dinner with his family:

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Farewell also to one of my most favourite Manchester United players. I started admiring him when I was Sec 1 (1998) but I always found it a great pity that Fergie never played him in the first team. He was such an impressive substitute, always scoring goals for Man Utd during the last 5 minutes when he came in, and was always the pushing force when Man Utd was down and dying in the last minutes of the match. He hasn't been playing for quite some time, always sitting there quietly watching. High time we let him rest from his knee injury and start his coaching career proper in Man U. Hopefully, he will be able to impart his scoring skills to those players so they stop playing like idiots and start scoring decent goals.

my Man Utd mug with Solskjaer's printed signature//the mug//my programme booklet when I watched Man Utd trash Singapore!!//Solskjaer's profile in the booklet//the name tag I made in sec 3 that I hung on my pencil case (together with Beckham's jersey keychain and the anti-drug ribbon. hur hur...)//my Man Utd Treble 98/99 Medallion Collection//Solskjaer's profile in the collection//Solskjaer's coin!//Solskjaer's printed signature on my Man Utd soccer ball.

I realised these farewells are kinda pseudo since Tris isn't gone yet, and Solskjaer technically isn't leaving Man Utd. Oh well..

WDO

We survived 5 hours of Women's Day Out! Bernia and I are Iron Women!! :)

Bernia and me before:

Bernia and me after 5 hours:

Sis and me:

Good job all you girls out there! Bernia, Sis, Pearlyn, Rosh and Chi Ching

VJ council babes

This was us in 2004 WDO. How time flies:

And I have a newfound respect for those taitais out there. Think they are useless? Watch them kick butt!! I was almost dying in the last 30 minutes and they were going on in front like they could go on forever. They really have nothing else to do with their lives except to go to the gym every single morning, an observation I made in Cali. Don't ever try to rob a tai tai, she will roundhouse kick you!

I would also like to thank Mummy and Daddy for their support, for staying there for the 5 hours. Daddy carried my belongings while Mummy stood there and laughed at me when I couldn't coordinate my Latino moves and when I practically died doing dips.

I highly doubt I can walk tomorrow. :( I am going to KO tonight, after the Man U match. Hope they survive and win!

man, u rule

I don't care Giggs got a yellow card for tackling Lee Young Pyo;

I don't care Wes Brown's defence was actually a hand ball;

I don't care Tevez runs so bloody slowly;

I don't care Ferdinand and Van der Sar were dreaming and almost let a stupid ball roll over the goal line;

I don't care Nani's goal was damn tyco;

I don't care how the whole world complains that referees are always giving us the benefit of doubt;

WE SCORED!!! We better keep scoring and start playing decently. I miss Ronaldo. And I actually miss grumpy bulldog Rooney too.

Go Man U!!!

Yes, I am a biased Man U fan. Sue me.

soccer

I am officially pissed. What is Man Utd doing? 3 games with random teams and they either draw or lose. Seriously! Reading, Portsmouth, and now we lose to Manchester City. We have almost 60% possession in the matches yet we cannot freaking score. And grumpy Rooney is down, so is Ronaldo who stupidly got sent off. Ugh... It's a pain watching Man Utd.

Watching Liverpool v Chelsea now. The referee is giving out yellow cards like candies. Good job.

And Happy Belated Birthday to Singapore! I wanted to write a tribute to my homeland but I got too lazy. :p

I loved the parade & ceremony part of NDP, especially the new navy water show and my all time favourite fires of joy (the part where the guards of honour raise their rifles and shoot blanks non stop). I hate the dancing parade as usual (what was a white lambo doing in the middle of the stage - which they kept repeating was 'the world's largest floating stage built on water'?). I died laughing when I saw our beloved MM wearing the NDP animal cap with flashing eyes. He looked so cute! And I hate this year's national day songs, especially the unsingable Kit Chan song.

But I still love Singapore, my home, the 'possibicity', despite its utterly bad grammar and sheer lack of wit. :p Happy National Day to all!
