It's my second most favourite week of the Catholic calendar (the first being the Christmas season)! It's the start of the HOLY WEEK! :)
Palm Sunday marks the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem in the days before his Passion. As the palm branch was a symbol of triumph and of victory, the crowd greeted Jesus by waving palms and carpeting his path with them.
I love the Holy Week because it commerates Jesus' last week of earthly life, leading to his crucifixion on Good Friday and then resurrection on Easter Sunday. We must never forget God's greatest gift for mankind, His one and only Son, who was nailed to the cross and sacrificed to cleanse us of all our sins.
And a little lesson learnt in church today:
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
When someone does a bad deed unto you,
Write it in sand,
So that the winds of forgiveness will blow it away;
But when someone does a kind deed unto you,
Carve it in stone,
So that even the greatest storms will never wash it away.
