collegiate dinner
26th Law Club MC, sans Mr Liang Hanting who is enjoying himself in NYU growing long hair and dreaming to be Takeshi Kaneshiro.
These 4 years have been amazing. Thank you for all the wonderful memories and I hope we will never forget the friendships we have forged and the precious times we spent together, even after decades of drudging in our respective law firms.

giselle
Ballet/picnic at Fort Canning with Gene!
Giselle tells the story of a love between a village maiden, Giselle, and a nobleman, Albrecht. Mesmerised by Giselle's beauty and innocence, Albrecht disguises himself as a peasant and promises eternal love to Giselle, despite being betrothed to a Duke's daughter, Bathilde. Upon discovering his deceit, Giselle in her grief, dies of a broken heart.
One simple word, LOVE.
The power of love.

I didn't like the show. How could the guy do such a thing, knowing full well that he is already betrothed to another woman? And Giselle still forgave him and pleaded for the spirits to spare his life. Love, what is love? Love can make you forgive someone despite his betrayal and the hurt he caused you. Often I watch Korean dramas and wonder why the woman is so stupid to stay with the man despite his affairs with other women. Worse, the battered wife syndrome. Why do women stupidly stick to their husbands who abuse them?
One simple word, LOVE.
The power of love.
Which oft lead women to their downfall.
