the movie is getting darker and darker. I like. This means more depth and fewer shrieking kids in the cinema. It's amazing how Rowling managed to make it from a kid-friendly, happy sunshine Hogwart's with Nimbus 2000, Quidditch, House Cups, wonderful teachers and headmaster to a dark and sinister tale of a sad Hogwart's with an autocratic headmistress who is perpetually dressed in pink. Evil lurks everywhere and there are less childish jokes. There is no more fight between Griffindor and Slytherin in school. The fight is worst, Harry against the evil Voldemort. Watching it made me feel like the Dementors have really come to suck my happiness away.
Nevertheless, it was wonderful. Dark and brooding. With deeper underlying meanings. Kids may still appreciate the beauty of Hogwart's and treat Umbridge and Voldemort as the bad guys in the show. But there is so much more to it. Like the effects of a dictatorship, illicit student organisations and curfews. The idea was not as obvious as shows like V for Vendetta, but Rowling actually managed to put the evils of a dictatorship into a children's book. Kudos to her.
My most favourite character in the Order is Luna Lovegood. I love the way she speaks, and I love the things she say. So practical and loyal.
Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure
I don't like Cho Chang. So bimbotic. Hur hur...
The Order of the Phoenix is not my most favourite in the series. I like Prisoner of Azkaban the most because it was a beautiful yet not so kiddish story with lessons to be learnt. Trust in a person even though no one else believes him (Sirius Black for e.g. - by the way, he looks really hot in Order) and believing in yourself (Harry Potter when he never ever practised yet had to use the Expecto Patronum spell when he first encountered the Dementors).
Catch Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix if you can!
On another note, talk about foreign talent coaching our budding corporate lawyers to be. I love T@n Cheng H@n, the only Head of a Faculty whom I know emails the students personally to wish them good luck for their exams. :)
